This Privacy Policy explains how Plum (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our mobile application (the “App”). In short: the App takes, processes, and stores your photos and videos entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. The App has no user accounts, no sign-in, and does not send your data to us or to any third party. It does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services, and contains no third-party SDKs.
Camera, Microphone, and Photos
- Camera is used only to show the live preview and to take the photos and record the videos you start. Camera looks are applied on your device.
- Microphone is used only to record sound with your videos. Microphone access is optional; without it, videos are recorded without sound.
- Photos and videos you take are saved inside the App on your device. For photos, the App also keeps the original so you can change the look later. The App does not upload them to us or anywhere else. You decide when to save them to Photos or share them.
- Photo library access (add only) is used when you save a photo or video to Photos, either manually or with automatic saving turned on. The App cannot read your existing photos or videos.
- Importing photos uses the system photo picker. The App receives only the photos you choose and stores a copy inside the App on your device.
You can change these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Data Stored on Your Device
Your photos, videos, edits, and a few preferences (such as the selected camera, aspect ratio, and grid) are stored locally on your device only. They are removed when you delete them in the App or delete the App. Copies you have saved to Photos are managed by the Photos app and are not affected.
Purchases
The App offers an optional one-time purchase (a non-consumable in-app purchase) that unlocks additional cameras. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. The App keeps a record on your device that the purchase is active. Apple’s handling of your information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy:
Children’s Privacy
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
