Frequently Asked Questions
Which iPhones are supported?
Recording with two cameras at the same time needs iPhone XS, iPhone XR, or later, running iOS 17 or later. Which camera pairs you can choose (Ultra Wide, Wide, Telephoto, front) and whether 60 fps is available depend on your iPhone model.
What are the recording modes?
- Picture in Picture — one camera fills the screen, the other appears in a small window you can drag to any corner or tap to swap.
- Split — both cameras in one video, one above the other.
- Separate — each camera is saved as its own video file, ready for editing.
What’s included for free, and what does Pro add?
Picture in Picture and Split are free, with clips up to 30 seconds at 30 fps. Pro removes the length limit and adds Separate mode and 60 fps recording (with supported camera pairs).
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Open Settings in the app and tap Manage Subscription, or go to the iOS Settings app › your name › Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid being charged again.
I subscribed before, but the app doesn’t show Pro.
Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account, then open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases.
Where are my videos saved?
Recordings are kept inside the app, in My Videos. From there you can play, share, save to Photos, or delete them. You can also turn on Save to Photos automatically in Settings. Deleting the app also deletes the videos kept in the app, so save the ones you want to keep to Photos first.
Can I record without the microphone?
Yes. Camera access is required; microphone access is optional. Without it, videos are recorded without sound.
Recording stopped on its own.
To protect your iPhone, recording stops when the device gets too hot, when storage runs low (less than 1 GB free), or when a phone call or another app takes over the camera. Everything recorded up to that point is saved.
Does Twinly upload my videos?
No. Recordings are processed and stored on your iPhone, and the app has no accounts, analytics, or ads. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share a video yourself. See the privacy policy for details.
