How do I unlock all phrases?
The first phrases are free. To unlock the full set, tap any locked phrase and choose the one-time purchase. It’s a single payment — there is no subscription. You can also find Unlock All Phrases in the app’s Settings.
I purchased before, but the app shows content as locked.
On the same Apple Account, your purchase restores automatically. If it doesn’t, open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases, or reinstall the app while signed in to the same Apple Account. Restoring needs an internet connection once.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. All phrases, audio, and images are built into the app. No internet connection is required, and no account or sign-in is needed — it works on the plane, in the subway, and anywhere in Japan without roaming.
Which languages are supported?
You learn Japanese, with romaji to help you read along. Translations and notes are shown in English, ไทย, 한국어, Deutsch, Français, Español, and 中文 (Simplified / Traditional), following your device language automatically. You can also switch the language in Settings.
Can it play in the background or before bed?
Yes. Audio keeps playing when the screen is locked or the app is in the background. Use the sleep timer to stop playback automatically after a set time. Playback stops when your headphones disconnect or a phone call comes in.
Can I slow down the audio or change the voice?
Yes. Choose from 3 natural voices and play at 0.75×, 1×, or 1.25×. You can also repeat a phrase or turn on auto-play.
How do I turn on daily reminders?
Open Settings in the app and enable the daily reminder. Make sure notifications are allowed for the app in iOS Settings.
Does the app collect my data?
No. The app has no accounts, analytics, or ads, and your progress stays on your device. See the privacy policy for details.
